The Spirit:
The Spirit was created by Will Eisner in 1940. Unlike the movie, the comics are similar in style to Dick Tracy, in that they are short, newsprint comics. They are mainly noir detective stories, which are modernized in the collection written by Daryn Cook.

The collections in the library are a completely different style than the movie, which is made in the same style as Frank Miller's Sin City. Those who remember the original series will enjoy the books we have, and those familiar with the movie should enjoy seeing the adventures of this enigmatic crime fighter.
